We all have things we can't stop thinking about. Fears, hopes, wishes, dreams, or things we're afraid to say out loud. What if you could write them down, fold them up, and let them go?
That's the idea behind The Release List: Tools and Tales for Letting Go, which grew out of a fifteen-plus-year practice of learning to let go and her desire to release persistent thoughts and quiet the mind.
The two core principles are Reflecting and Releasing. There are stories, worksheets, and a place to write down reflections. Then you write your thoughts in the perforated section called Release, fold it up, and tuck it away in the folder at the back. When you're ready, revisit what's there. Did something shift or resolve itself?
This book is not about being perfect. It is about practice. A space to release what weighs on you, what you long for, what you need to name. Whether it is a small wish or a big fear, writing it down is a quiet way of saying: I am ready to let this go.
Woven throughout, alongside the tools, are the tales called Little Stories. There are 15. These are moments when the author had to learn to let go of herself. Each one is proof that you are not alone in this.
